Compressive supplies Mikalor worm drive clips, heavy-duty hose clamps and specialist fastening components across Yorkshire and the East Midlands. Our Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham teams can check the required size, material and clamp type before quoting.
What types of Mikalor hose clamp are available?
Mikalor manufactures hose clamps and metal fasteners for low, medium and high-pressure connection duties. The ranges use different band, screw, bridge and spring arrangements, so clamp type must be matched to the hose construction and the load on the joint.
- ASFA worm drive clamps use a screw to reduce the band diameter around the hose. They are used for adjustable general-purpose connections and are available in different band widths, materials and application-specific formats.
- Supra heavy-duty clamps use a strong bolt and band assembly for reinforced hose and higher clamping loads. Single-bolt and two-bolt designs cover different diameter and duty requirements.
- Super heavy-duty clamps are intended for demanding high-pressure hose connections. The clamp range, band width, bolt arrangement and hose manufacturer guidance remain important even when the joint appears similar to an existing one.
- Constant-tension clamps compensate for some diameter change as the hose expands, contracts or settles. Spring band and constant-tension screw designs achieve this in different ways and require the correct working range.
- Ear clips and fixed-diameter clamps create a set-size connection for production assembly or service work. The closing method and installation tool must match the specific clip or ring.
- Accessories and tools support installation and removal. A suitable tool helps apply the intended closing force without distorting the clamp or damaging the hose.
Where are Mikalor clamps used?
Mikalor clamps are used on compressed air, hydraulic return, cooling, ventilation, automotive and general industrial hose connections. Typical duties range from a small flexible tube on production equipment to a reinforced hose carrying air or liquid on plant and vehicles.
The hose outside diameter should be measured over the installed spigot or tail because the free hose diameter may be smaller. Pressure, pulsation, vibration, temperature, corrosion exposure and the hose supplier’s fitting guidance all influence the final clamp choice.
A constant-tension design may suit a joint that sees repeated thermal cycling, while a heavy-duty bolt clamp may suit a reinforced hose under higher mechanical load. The application evidence should drive that choice rather than clamp appearance.
How should a Mikalor clamp be specified?
Measure the outside diameter of the hose when it is assembled on the connection, then confirm the required adjustment range, band width and material grade. The working pressure, temperature, vibration and exposure to moisture or chemicals also affect the choice.
Heavy-duty and worm drive clamps are not interchangeable in every application. Provide the original code or clear photographs when replacing an existing clamp.
Mikalor parts support across Yorkshire and the East Midlands
Our regional team supports manufacturers, maintenance teams and machine builders in Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham with part identification, quotation support and technical checks before supply.
Compressive can help compare clamp ranges and material options for pneumatic, hydraulic, cooling and general industrial hose connections. We can also check a known Mikalor code or work from dimensions when the original part is not identifiable.
Price, availability, collection and delivery options are confirmed for the specified item and quantity.
How to request Mikalor clamps
Review related products in the digital catalogue. For a quotation, contact Compressive with the hose outside diameter, clamp type, material, quantity and delivery postcode.
If you are replacing a clamp, include the Mikalor code, band width, bolt or screw arrangement and photographs of the complete joint. State whether the hose is reinforced and whether the connection sees pressure pulses, movement or frequent temperature change.
